Mold is perhaps the most potentially dangerous issue anyone engaged in video tape handling and/or restoration has to contend with at this time. Extreme caution should be taken at all times by wearing proper breathing apparatus, rubber gloves, eye protection, and working in a lab room with an overhead exhaust hood, or in a well ventilated open area, preferably outdoors.
